Laying the foundation for strategy

We meet in advance - online or in person - with meeting stakeholders to understand your needs and objectives and then develop a plan for generating the results you want. Meetings typically last from 1 to 3 days.

We can support your Strategic Planning to fit your timeframe, using a team approach.

Use innovative tools for brainstorming, critiquing, and defining a plan. We can also facilitate an update to your mission, vision, and values.

Take time to identify an implementation plan that includes people skills and clear roles and responsibilities.

Use an On-line Discussion Forum before and/or after your next in-person meeting

Cross team activity

New meeting technologies for both online and blended settings (an in-person and online mix) benefit from good facilitation skills. While these technologies make collaboration across distance and time possible, using them effectively can be a challenge.

Team Craft brings the power of an Action Learning environment to this new technology.

Also consider adding an on-line discussion forum to your meeting plan. It is a productive way to gather new ideas and learn about each other's work before an in-person meeting.

Shorten the “learning curve” for using new collaborative technologies.

Hold an online discussion forum blog prior to an Executive Retreat to make the most of limited in-person meeting time.

Recording team values

Team members from across time zones can access a forum when it is most convenient for them to read and post to discussion topics that focus on critical issues.

Participants can post thought provoking and insightful ideas on a level not typically experienced in a short meeting. The accumulated content of each discussion can be used to better focus and jump start an in-person meeting, or can serve as a way to keep a conversation going after time runs out in a meeting. The moderator can pose questions and poll the group as appropriate.

Research commissioned by the U S Army Research Institute has found that electronic discussions produce higher quality initial and final solutions to complex problems than time-limited face-to-face discussions. Participants operate in an environment that gives equal weight to all input, and input is better thought out before being shared.
